The Town of Wheatland Fire Department (TWFD) is made up of 4 fire companies and 1 EMS division with many of our members serving in both capacities. Currently we have 35 active members.
TWFD on average responds to over 50 fire calls a year and over 160 EMS calls.
EMS
Being a first responder in our EMS division, like a fire fighter, is a big commitment and does require continuing education to maintain the licensure status. Our EMS staff is required to attend regular quarterly hospital trainings as well as the State of Wisconsin certified refresher courses.
Currently, we have 10 first responders on our team.
